Medhu Vada

Ingredients for Medhu Vada

  • Urad Dall - 1 Cup
  • Salt
  • Onion Finely Chopped - 1 Big
  • Curry Leaves
  • Green Chili 2

Directions

Process 2

  • Soak urad dal for at least 2hrs.
  • Wash the dal and drain excess water and put it in the grinder.
  • Add salt as per your taste.
  • Sprinkle water every 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Grind dal for 45 – 50 minutes.
  • Mix all the other ingredients into the batter and mix it well. Vada batter is now ready.

Process 3

  • Heat oil in a frying pan
  • Take the batter, shape it, and put it in the oil.
  • Wait for a minute and flip it.
  • Take it out when it turns golden brown.
  • Check and adjust the flame if you notice batter uncooked inside.
  • Our yummy medhu vada is now ready.
  • Serve medhu vada with flavourful sambar!
